We had chosen to go to Italy and visit Manu and Luca. Two Italian Erasmus students from our time in Finland, who we have stayed in contact with. On our way to Rome (where Manu lives, Luca lives close by in Cassino) we visited Zurich (Switserland) and on our way back we stayed in Venice.

On our way back Theo decided that he would like to drive over the mountain instead of using a tunnel. Dorota got a little scared because of the snow. She was happy that the Police had closed the Pass on top of the mountain because of too much snow. So we had to go back and take the tunnel. Theo had had his fun so didn’t mind (although we lost some time traveling but we weren’t in a rush :D )

Visiting a city and checking out the Beer and Chocolate in Belgium (The proper belgium stuff). We went to Gent in Belgium. Gent is a great city to visit but don’t try to visit the city in one day. That’s what we did and we haven’t seen everything that was there. There are great restaurants, bars, clubs, and very nice architecture in the old city. And ofcourse we have checked out the ‘Chocolaterie’ where there was a glass floor in the shop so you could watch the master making the bonbons.

We have been celebrating koninginnedag and this year the queen visited Makkum and Franeker. We though that it could be nice to see the queen in real life. So we went to Franeker. There where a lot of people and all trying to get a better view of the royal family pushing and pulling, it was not a nice feeling but we had the experience. Never the less I had a great time and was able to make some pictures! :-) .
